Too small?

My OB told me the other day that when I had my 20wk ultrasound last week that my baby was measuring kind of small. 14th percentile. But it looked like his stomach was normal. I'm just not sure if I should be worried or not. My high-risk doctor didn't say anything about it in my appointment right after.. but maybe she hadn't seen it yet?

I’ve had that with all my babies, I just have small babies apparently. My daughter was tiny and came out at 3.3kgs If your doctor hasn’t said anything I’m sure there is nothing to worry about but you can always ask your doctor to have growth scans for your pregnancy maybe.

Try not to panic, I did when I was told the same thing. Even a week before the planned c section they told me she was going to be tiny, possibly with dwarfism. Turns out they could barely fit my 7lb3oz baby out of the c section incision they had made!!! She was somehow hiding 2lbs inside me!! She was completely healthy, all in proportion and normal size when she was born. I had weekly scans because of their concerns and all my worry was for nothing x

Turns out ultrasound measurements can be very very hit and miss x

My baby was small, measuring on the 10th centile all the way through. 14th is absolutely fine, don’t worry.

Thank you ladies 💜
