Most pools require you to have another nappy on over the top of this to contain leaks anyway so I wouldn't worry too much if you're using 😀a happy nappy over the top. Swim nappies aren't absorbent at all so they not actually going to hold wee or poo in as their poos are still liquid
Yes sorry we use a happy nappy over the top, the swim class provided them ☺️
@Charley could you not use your normal one under this one? I'm so new to all of this... never needed to know before 😅 she does wear a costume but also one of those long sleeve/leg things over the top that you'd usually wear at the beach or something. As I thought she'd get a bit cold in just a costume 🤷♀️
@Emily no you can't use a normal nappy, it would swell in the water as it would absorb from the pool. Check the requirements at your local pool, but most need two layers. A disposable or reusable swim nappy, followed by a happy nappy which is tight around the legs and the waist. So that if they poo, it's held inside. Look at the splash about website for options, they do wetsuits with built in happy nappys so they are kept warm but also poo is contained! If your baby soils the pool there is sometimes a hefty fine
Get a happy nappy. Yiu out those that yiu biught under the hapoy nappy and you'll be fine. If the pool os cold then use the long one you bought
Boots usually though you may need to order online. The smallest “huggies little swimmers” work well for us so far! https://www.boots.ie/huggies-little-swimmers-size-2-3-3kg-8kg-12-pants-10164947
