Bad mum

My baby is so clingy (10 weeks old) I know this is normal, but I’m a single mum and everytime I go to the loo or sit down for food, try do anything, she sits there screaming and her face goes so red until I pick her back up. She doesn’t nap alone or ever want off me. Please tell me it’s ok for them to sit and cry?! It breaks my heart

I have a 5 week old who is the same the only thing that works is putting her swinging chair in the kitchen with me with music from my phone cause she likes to watch me, also in the bathroom when i need to shower or relax in the bath, the swinging motion usually rocks her to sleep paired with the music so i can get stuff done

I feel the same way, im yet to go and pee without being anxious

@Lynds I have a swing but she only likes it roughly 50% of the time so it’s hit and miss. And sadly I usually only get 5 mins with that when she’s ok! I even tried dancing fruits but she isn’t fussed after two mins. I just want her to be happy 😂😂

My girl didnt like it at first but as long as shes got a full belly, blanket, dummy and music shes okay😅 If i walk away she cries too but i know shes find so she'll calm down soon

My boy is the same. Have you tried putting her in a sling? It’s the only way i can get anything don

You need to stay fit and healthy for yourself and for her so don’t feel bad if you go to the loo/eat etc and she cries. She will be fine for 5 mins in a safe place. You’re doing great. I have a husband and can’t imagine doing this by myself!!! 🤩

The way I try to explain to my partner is a crying baby is a breathing baby. It breaks my heart to hear her cry but I can’t always hold her, as long as I can hear her I know she’s okay. As long as they’re safe they’re okay and if they suddenly stop crying try and check if you can. If my little girl’s awake when I need the toilet I’ll pop her in the bath angel chair and just talk to her, same with having a shower. My partner works nights so I get it x (I don’t sit and leave my baby to cry, I’ll be cleaning the kitchen before bed or washing up/bottles)
