Cot to toddler bed yet?

My lil ones trying to climb out if cot now as shes so tall. I have a toddler bed in garage and thinking i need to start her in it. Dredding this process but know its for her safety. Shes usually easy at night in cot. Still sleeps tossing around and all over cot. So she doesnt stay in one place.... worried in toddler bed shes gunna keep falling out even though its got little sides. Do you all add sheet to bed and tuck toddlers in now to try get them to stay in one spot and one end of their bed ? I am solo with her and already burnt out and the thought of long nights settling into a toddler beds gunna kill me lol Hows everyone else going?

My little one has been in a toddler bed from beginning of the year as she also was climbing out I got a side rail to add onto her bed as she was falling out of the bed She also was escaping her room multiple times a night so for her safety I’ve had to put a baby gate at her bedroom door so she doesn’t let herself out the back yard or climb on the kitchen bench. We had a few bad nights and now she knows that’s her bed, I can put her in her bed and she stays there and goes to sleep. Whereas before she’d leave her bed and turn the lights on and escape. It’s an adjustment but after a few nights your lil one will get the hang of it too

Put my LG straight into a single as she’s a wriggler in her sleep, she’s fallen out twice in the almost year she’s been in it didn’t do the bed sides as full anxiety of sids. And she coped perfectly. If you’re worried she’d roll off, pop down the cot mattress next to her bed as it’s a softer landing. Maybe get her involved in making her bed and get her excited to the transition, it’s gunna be tough to start with. Be patient, you got this mama

When my little one started climbing out we were advised to use a sleeping bag to help her stay in the cot. I bought a second lightweight one to help with the summer heat. Haven’t had any problems with her climbing out since.
