Holding in wees

My daughter did this for a while, she wouldn’t wee all day at nursery. She was fine with me though. I just kept talking to her about it and saying it’s okay to wee at nursery and some days she would and others she wouldn’t. Spoke to the health visitor who said as long as she was drinking lots then not worry too much unless she was in pain etc - we’re now potty trained and she goes more often as she likes to see it in the potty 😂

@Claire is there anything the nursery did to get her weeing there? Mine will only go in pull ups and not on the toilet (but will happily sit on the toilet). Any tips appreciated!

Honestly my daughter was that stubborn that she just held it all day, nursery just kept offering and asking at various points in the day, some days she went and some days she didn’t. It only really changed when she started going on the potty . I just kept offering drinks regularly to ensure she was hydrated - HV said she wasn’t overly concerned as my daughter wasn’t in pain with it And my daughter would only go in the pull up, she was actually dry from Jan this year and would then go get a pull up to put on for a wee, I just pulled the plug in March and told her no more nappies (helped that we don’t use them at night either) so I just took away the option
