Triple feeding

Hi everyone, not sure what I’m after… we’re currently triple feeding due to baby not gaining back his birth weight. So we’re breast feeding, topping up formula and then expressing… I’m super worried about the impact on my supply and just keeping increasing formula until my breast milk has no chance of ever catching up… Has anyone got any similar experience, tips or success stories? I’m also only expressing about 4ml when expressing which feels pointless. Thanks for any responses x

Eat a bunch of oats !! It helped me tremendously. Oatmeal cookies, oatmeal, oat milk, etc.

Lay in bed all day for a weekend. Latch Latch Latch! Hydrate and eat.

Hi Kristina! I had to triple feed for the same reason when my daughter was born. It was so tiring so I’m sure you’re exhausted. I did it for the first 7 weeks and then managed to switch to exclusively breastfeeding. I just had to trust myself that she was getting enough milk from me, which I found so hard to do after the early days of being told she wasn’t! Your baby will increase your supply by cluster feeding and will drink from the bottle even if he’s full from you already because it’s instinct. The amount you are able to pump is not a reflection of how much milk you are producing either. If you have Instagram, have a look at Olivia Hinge, a lactation consultant. She has amazing advice. My daughter is going to be three in June and she is still breastfeeding! I am now pregnant with number 2! Sending lots of love and feel free to message me xx
