I’m in the same situation with my 10 month old starting daycare soon and I’m so concerned because my little one won’t even take a bottle 😩😩
@Desiree I’m in the exact same boat. My baby starts daycare April 1st and she doesn’t take a bottle or a sippy cup
My son takes bottle fine at daycare remember they will fight at first possibly but will cave when they are hungry they will not starve themselves and the people tending to your baby will definitely not let your baby starve either
@Victoria oh goodness. I’m not sure what we can even do to help.
@Victoria @Desiree it took me over a month to get her to take a bottle. I had to express and give her bottles everyday and watch her waste the milk for weeks 😂 it was a little disheartening at first, but I persevered and now she doesn’t just play with the bottle, she will drink from it (albeit not a lot of milk, but she will drink it now) I think that exhausted me so much that I didn’t have the energy to be consistent with putting her down for naps without the boob. I did sometimes, but other times she seemed so sad that I caved! I probably need to be really consistent from Now until I go back 😅
Definitely so encouraging and something to definitely try because my little one will take a sippy cup with water but will protest if breast milk is given via a bottle but I’ll keep trying so that she’s more comfortable when starts daycare ☺️☺️😩☺️
They will often take a bottle from others easily, and then fight you for breast. I wouldn’t worry. My baby won’t take a bottle from me but will from my partner easily. They’re different with different people. She associates you with boob so that bond will always be there 😘
