Is this normal?

My identical twin boys were born at 35w3d and they came home from the NICU 2.5 weeks later. They absolutely hate being handled. One of them in particular screams excessively during diaper changes, when getting dressed/undressed, when in his bassinet, and cries when picked up or moved. He’s only soothed when he realizes he’s being held, if having skin to skin time with me, or if I’m swaying/bouncing with him. They’ve been home for about two weeks now but I think they’re traumatized from the NICU. I’m super patient with them and responsive as soon as I hear them crying, but it’s so exhausting. I just want them to feel okay. Anyone else’s baby go through something similar? What was it like?

Mine was like a different baby when she came home. We were so excited and she seemed to hate her crib and everything else. The NICU was all she ever knew. It's an adjustment. They will settle down soon hang in there ❤️

I think it's normal. The newborn phase is rough!! My NICU baby liked being swaddled and worn in a wrap carrier. I've seen wraps that are made large enough to fit newborn twins but you might need help getting it on.
