@Caroline can it? Yeah we are and burping frequently😔 we’re using the mam bottles too
@Robyn yep. It can also take a few goes to find a formula that agrees with them. Give it a few weeks to see if things settle down but after that it might be worth trying another. There's always a transition period though so don't change super often. The bottle can also make a huge difference so you may want to consider trying others.
I have a happy 4 month old boy. I was BF, then expressing with little aptimil. At around week 6 he would scream and cry for hours. When seeking advise my gp said it’s normal. I’ve done loads of research and switched to kendamil comfort, with two feeds of kendamil organic and I bought a kendamil probiotic adding five drops per day. By week 8 he was a completely different baby. He digest well, farts easily and is such a happy little boy. I also stopped BF and expressing around this time and he had been fed this method ever since and is vibing and thriving.
@Renia which probiotic is it? Aw that’s really good! Maybe he’s just getting used to the formula? I’m still pumping so he has a bottle of breastmilk then formula we alternate the milk each time through the day, I wonder if it’s because we’re doing both could this upset his tummy? Idk 😔 but it’s awful seeing him like it, his nappies are wet and does poo through the day so I don’t think he’s constipated
@Caroline thank you for your help!
Can I just ask if you shake your aptamil? I used to use SMA and it says to swirl it instead of shaking, but when i did it with Aptamil there was still formula on sides. And on the Aptamil box it says to shake it, but then it looks like a milkshake 😂 very frothy. Is that okay?
It can take a few weeks for their bodies to adjust to the formula as it's quite different to breastmilk. Also the way you feed from a bottle can cause them to take on lots of air. Are you making sure to burp baby really well? Are you pace feeding?
