Yes I’m experiencing it too. A lactation nurse told us to just flip baby’s lip out during feeds! I had no idea myself
Their little skin is learning to be skin, so they’ll get little lip calluses like this and have random red blotches and little white spots, they all resolve on their own.
Yes it’s normal from the baby sucking too hard on the bottle or nipple. My baby had the same thing.
Hi! I’m an infant feeding therapist and see this a lot. You can try to flange the lip out like duck lips, and that usually helps. You can just lift/flip their upper lip up a little; ideally you want to see some of the pink of the lip while they feed. Hope that helps!
Completely normal! I asked the pediatrician because my son has this too, and I was concerned about it. It’s just a sucking callus! She said they’re super common, and it’ll eventually stop coming back.
