Mommas with older kiddos

What are some age appropriate chores for a kindergartner?! She likes to help with dinner usually and feeds our pup with our supervision but what are some other daily or weekly things you had your children do to teach them structure and that there’s always stuff to do ?

My baby isn’t old enough but when I was little I wiped the counters, helped with dishes, and held the dustpan while my mom/ dad swept dirt in it. Also my room

My 6 year old follows this. We do adjust some things like we don’t have a car so we changed it to she does her own laundry etc

I don’t have a older child but I’ve dealt with young children 6 and under and I have had them put their toys away and help me pick up the table when they are done with their meal

Put dirty clothes in laundry room on Sunday, wipe the table after dinner, make bed

I got my baby a little vacuum cleaner that actually works and a mop lol. He is only 14 months and this two are his favourite toys lol

There are literally cleaning kits on Amazon for kids 🤣

My son starts kindergarten in September. I don’t currently give my kids chores, but they love to help throw stuff away, put clothes in the washer. My son likes to help put a pod in the dishwasher & helps start the dishwasher. I force nothing on them, yet they love to help.

My daughter now likes to fold and hang her clothes so I let her but I still go and have to fix a few here and there hahah
