@Elsa Thank you for your advice! I couldn’t stand too see her in pain like that, I thought it would be more damaging mentally than confusing her with a nappy 😅
My three year old daughter has started to do this and we stopped giving her diapers and she somehow holds it in while sleeping and it was almost 12 hours of her holding it all in that I gave up and put a diaper on her and I have no clue what to do either
Yeah sounds hard. Maybe try ensuring she drinks a lot of liquids for a few days by offering juices etc?
Hey very recently potty trained my 26 month old- we went through this for a couple of days where she was withholding wee. I just really backed off with the prompting, lots of celebration with the wees on the potty and it sorted itself in a couple of days. We did try screen time as an incentive to sit on the potty for abit but you could try anything that incentivises your LO and makes them happy to get them comfortable with the potty again. We are exactly 3 weeks today of no nappies and have had 2 days in a row of no accidents and none so far today 🤞so hang in there if you can- it really does get better xx
Try to not push too much or over prompt if this is something you do. I would also stick with nappy or no nappy if possible as giving it to her at times might be confusing. Otherwise I think it is normal. I potty trained my son at the same age and the first couple of days he was peeing continuously but then had a short period where he was withholding as much as he could. All will go well. xx
