Bandages over them and say they have oweies and they don’t work anymore. Or explain boobs are to feed babies and they are a big girl/boy now
I’ve seen a lot of people mention the book ‘Booby Moon’ to read to them for a week or so before starting to reduce the amount of time baby feeds for until it’s not at all. Good luck! X
Honesty.
Prepare beforehand with a weaning book. Or when I weaned my son completely at 22 months we used a countdown calendar. I wouldn’t lie or create any negative associations with being a big kid.
I went cold turkey at 2.5years and I told him mommy's boobs are poorly, I would cry out every time he reached into my top. It took a week to get through the worst and a month for his moments of persistent crying for breast to subside. That was 6months ago but he will just come up to me and sniff my breast now and attempt to put his hand under my shirt.
Personally- I’d go cold turkey and say “the milk is all gone” and then just hand express in the shower or whatever to wean your boobs off of production until it’s mostly gone
