Stainless steel pan

I recently bought a Stainless steel pan as they say those non stick ones are 'not good'. I have had the stainless steel pan for barely 3 months and it has changed colour and looks like I have had it for 3 years. My non stick pans never did this. Am I using it wrong or is there a special soup I am to use to wash stainless steel pans? Thank you

Is it the inside turning color or the outside?

No direct advice, except to follow STEEL PAN GUY on TikTok for advice on how to cook on stainless steel and maintain them!

I absolutely love my stainless steel pans. If you heat it correctly, and wash it properly, it will last you years. I agree with the above, watch some videos. The non stick pans cause cancer, they release thousands of chemicals every time you use them. 100% you have made the right decision ☺️

@Dai both are brown now

Make a paste w bicarb soda and water. Use a sponge to rub that paste in circles and it’ll all come off. That’s what I do w my enameled cast iron and my stainless steel. Any stubborn stains I use the finest 240grit sandpaper block and rub that in circles. There’s no “coating” to come off SS it looks brand new when I do that. The bottoms of my pans are brown I’ll do it now and record and show you Xx (last time was like 6m ago)

@Kellie so helpful thank you. Will give it a go x

Cast iron is best
