Having had a newborn with rsv I wish this had been possible when I was pregnant

I had the vaccine and no no side effects at all not even a sore arm. It wasn’t available in my first pregnancy and I really wish it had been. Little ones with RSV is awful

The vaccine given to mums isn't as effective as the one given to infants. We asked at my last appointment because we were concerned since the u/s showed an issue with the lungs. Our dr put a flag in our file to book an appointment as soon as the infant vaccine is released in October.

Just a bit of advice, I had it a bit later in my pregnancy than recommended as I was unsure as well - I was told you need the vaccine AT LEAST two weeks before you have baby as it is less effective when given later. I didn’t experience any side effects at all either x

Please read the whole post just before yours about the whooping cough vaccination. https://www.peanut-app.io/share/GHwOwppP1Rb

Ummed and arred on this one for ages but didn't want to risk not having it in the end. No side effects at all not even a sore arm.

No side effects for me or baby, and she was protected for the late summer and fall until she could get the vaccine herself. I would 100% do it again!
