To add- Not long before he sent in a milk sample for the bracelet, we realized that my son rejected the frozen milk (high lipase) so my entire stash that I had worked and pumped for was useless as it pertains to feeding. I was sad and frustrated bc it was a lot of work to pump and store all that. So it was nice that making that bracelet made some of my milk worth saving.
This is the first ive heard of such a thing lol. I am curious how long it would last.
@Courtney aw that’s sweet of your husband! Ya it’s a lot of work for sure! The only thing I hear bad about it is that the white with the resin usually starts to yellow over time from too much heat or moisture/ UV exposure. I’m guessing it’s not something ideal for daily wear? But they have some brands charging $200+ for a ring so wondering what the longgevity is 🤷🏻♀️
I’m getting mine soon! So excited. I worked hard so I deserve the precious memory.
Checkout milky mudra on Instagram. I ordered a galaxy style ring using my breastmilk and umbilical cord. Some rings are $150 but do go up to like $500 depending on the material of the ring.
Find someone that does resin jewelry and see if they will make it for you. There are a lot of scammy companies that you send you milk but don't necessarily gets your back. And it is super expensive when it really shouldn't be.
My husband got me a breastmilk bracelet for Mother’s Day and I thought it was really sweet and I love it. My son’s still a toddler but I imagine when he’s older I’ll appreciate having such a sweet and nostalgic keepsake from this phase of our lives.
