My little girl has. The midwife recommended using my breast milk which has worked really well. I just put a bit on a cotton pad x
Mine is 10 days old, he had sticky eyes when born and it cleared right up using saline solution and cotton pads but it’s come back with a vengeance, bright green/yellow but have GP Thursday so will be mentioning it, sorry it doesn’t answer your question really.. but maybe it is a common thing x
If you're BF then put some drops of breastmilk into baby's eye - I had the same with my first born & this is what the midwife suggested and it worked!
We are currently going through the same and have been using cotton pads and breast milk like some of the others. I wash my hands, drop some breast milk straight from the breast directly on to her eyes (poor thing doesn’t seem to mind) and wipe with a cotton pad from the inside corner of the eye out. Using a different cotton pad for each eye. It’s what my health visitor advised to do. Can used cool boiled water if preferred too x
My baby has this too, midwife and my mum both said just boil and cool some water and use a bit of cotton wool to wipe it away
My little girl has this as well, if they can open their eyes okay and the whites aren’t red then they aren’t generally worried (at least my midwife wasn’t) she said to use cooled boiled water and some cotton balls and wipe from the inner corner out once and repeat as needed with a fresh cotton ball, seems to be working for us her eyes are getting better!
