Baby girl’s discharge
I noticed my daughter who is 7 days old has a sticky in texture like discharge and I am wondering if this is normal. Today I noticed after a nappy change there was a little more than there has been since birth so just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this? The health visitor said it is normal for little girls and it should resolve itself but wanted to get another opinion.

Yes mama, it’s completely normal . My daughter has same too. We are 21days old.
Yes, completely normal. My midwife explained that newborn girls go through a hormonal stage which is passed from the placenta from us and to see discharge, blood, red vagina/bum and swollen nipples are all normal. The hormone will eventually flush out of their system.
