To be honest puggle and ickle bubba are awful car seat brands. Minimally tested and cheaply made. Please do NOT put baby on your lap whilst driving, this is so very unsafe. Do you have Facebook? If so join the group Car Seat Adice UK or Extended Rear Facing UK and get them to check the fit on your child in their seat.
My little one really dislikes the car too, I totally understand it’s so horrible. I try to time longer journeys with his nap time, make someone sit in the back with him and give him lots of toys to play with - one at a time. His favourite thing at the moment is books. Have you tried “the happy song” by Imogen heap? It’ll drive you crazy but little ones love it! I’m not judging but having your baby on your lap is far more serious than being caught by the police, it is so so dangerous. Definitely check out the fit of your car seat on the Facebook page i recommended, but they will also be able to suggest to you some different options within your budget and may also have some tips for you. Good luck!
This is really unsafe, I totally understand you’re trying your best to keep your little one happy, but this is really dangerous 😢 I would really recommend trying to get to an independent car seat retailer or join the Facebook group “bump to booster” and make a post with her centiles etc. it might be that she is not comfortable in this seat. Could you take her on the bus/train rather than in the car?
