Reduced movements

I’ve had reduced movements today, only felt her once or twice this morning and then just started eating some sweets and she’s moved slightly, no big kicks or big movements like usual. Is this still considered reduced movements? She’s moving but not as strong as usual so I don’t want to go into triage if it’s a waste of time x

you could always call triage and ask. i’ve called them for advice for several things and they’re always happy to help, just say you have felt baby move but she isn’t moving as much and the kicks seem weaker than normal, she’s usually a big kicker and you’re unsure if they would want to see you or not because she has still moved, then it’s down to them to say whether they want to see you or not xxx

It’s never a waste of time to call/go in, they’d really prefer you to go in and everything be fine than not! I think the recommendation is that you shouldn’t have to do any “tricks” to get them moving either, so I think well worth a call. I’ve been in a couple of times myself, and both times it’s all been fine in the end - 99% of the time it is!

It’s never a waste of time contacting triage. If you feel that baby’s pattern has changed in any way, then it’s definitely worth getting checked out just to be sure 🫶

I’ve had the same slightly, when I lie down or sit back more the movements are better so wondering if baby is just getting quite squashed now 😅 mine is weighed 7lbs2oz at 36 weeks and I’m nearly 38 now so he must be quite a bit bigger x

It’s reduced movements if it’s anything less than her normal pattern. So really only you can know this. If you’re worried just ring, they never make you feel bad about it and they’ll always check you out

@Anonn they don’t move less because they run out of space. Should say this on the outside of your folder.

It’s never a waste of time to check your baby is okay. Any change in movements (reduced, absent, not as strong) should be monitored to be safe. They won’t ever think you’re wasting time so I’d definitely say to call them 😊
