Quiet time activities

So my son used to be good at staying in bed for quiet time or he'll take a nap if he's feeling up to it. But lately he's been running out of his room to find me to either play or read with him. But this time is sacred to me. I need this time for myself to reset, take a break or food prep done for dinner. So I'm asking for activities he can do unsupervised in his room please ❤️ he only has books in his room. He does not have access to toys as I wanted to create a calm environment for sleep. But what I might start doing is bring in a basket of toys or activities if he chooses not to take a nap. TIA!

Puzzles, colouring, magnet tiles

I second the magnet tiles. My daughter loves creating things with her magnets. You might want to try getting a Yoto Player or Tonies if he wants to hear a story. I think with the Yoto you can record your voice reading a story as well.

Thank you guys! I just tried magnet tiles and it was going great until something he was trying to do didn't work and he got angry and started throwing it around 😅 he has puzzles now so we'll see it goes 🤞 I've thought about getting a Yoto player. I like the idea of recording my own voice!
