Yes try babyfirst tv ! It’s educational and you won’t feel bad and my son loves it ! He’s 10 months and points at all his colors and says a lot of words
@Jessica what my son watches is a programme called ‘raa raa the noisy lion’ on bbc iPlayer
@Kamille what’s babyfirst tv?
While I don't, i know when my mom watches her she puts on Miss Rachel for her. It doesn't bother me 🤷♀️
It’s a channel that has shows like: “color crew” “shape school” and other things everything is a lesson and is supposed to be for a different part of the brain. The channel even tells moms like stop and sing with your baby it’s really great and they have an app too ! If you search on Amazon prime it will pull up some of the favorites and on free video apps like Pluto tv and Apollo .. you should be able to find baby first tv channel itself
@Elena I just didn’t and don’t wanna be seen as a bad mum if I’m letting my 5 month old watch telly such as raa raa the noisy little lion or bluey because they’re the two he watches at the moment x
@Kamille thankyou I’ll have a look into that x
Of course and you are not a bad mom I let my baby watch tv too but I didn’t have a choice ! I had to work and I also had cancer and just got over it so I try to play educational stuff for him or stuff with music like little baby bum and Gracie’s corner and cocomelon.
I just read all these things online about not letting your baby watch telly because it damages their brains etc. x
Honestly I can’t see how anyone can truly say their baby doesn’t watch any TV. That would mean no TV on whenever the baby is in the room, day or night? We’re not big TV watchers in our house at all but it’s often on in the background during the daytime and I’m sure she watches sometimes 😅 It’s unavoidable! So don’t be hard on yourself for allowing a bit in moderation x
I don't know if it is unusual but I never have the TV on when I am with my kids. We are very strict about screen time. I do not judge people who put the TV on though..I know it's hard and the days go really slow when you are at home all day. Regarding the research on the topic it's a personal choice what people choose to believe.
@Hannah genuinely my tv is very rarely on. I don’t put it on in the morning when I get up. We listen to music mostly, depending on what we are doing we alternate between my daughter’s music and mine. I watch a bit of tv once she has gone to sleep and that’s about it. We have both been ill this week so I have put it on a couple of times but she isn’t really interested in it. I’m not completely against it and don’t judge people who do let their kids watch it I just don’t put it on much but then I didn’t before I had her either ☺️
Cbeebies/Nick Jr is normally on in the background but she isn't glued to it and hardly watches it except when she's tired. Also In the day I'll put Miss Rachel on if I need to get on with cooking/housework x
I put miss apple on so I can drink my coffee hot in peace and quiet. She sits and dances to the nursery rhymes and I get 5 minutes to myself.
I put dancing fruit on for my 10 week old for a bit when he refuses to nap- only way I get to shower/get anything done 😆
