@Sarah omg haha love that, I actually think it's not even just the breastfeeding but the twiddling/pulling/tugging of the other nipple that is the part that grates on me. Maybe two pegs will work? 👀
I totally understand the frustration!! My daughter is 2 and I just had a baby a few days ago my nipples are soo raw and hurt so bad.. I’m so grateful I’m able to nurse them both BUT I’m definitely going to be pumping and giving this baby some bottle time just to keep some sanity.. Breastfeeding takes a lot out of a women.. And your husband’s remark would have made me so maddd too! Men have no idea how hard it is on our bodies and minds..
I’m the same at 20 months, I cannot do it anymore. She wakes 10 times a night, sometimes takes half an hour of boob to get back to sleep, sometimes more, if she wakes and realises it’s not in her mouth, she’ll scream. I’m like a zombie. We’re night weaning next week. It’s going to be brutal 😅
Just wanted to update you. First night of no boob, we went to bed late to make sure she was tired. She took an hour of crying to fall asleep (sitting up cuddling a teddy). We layed her down and she slept 10-2. We kept her in bed until half 5, which was tough, lots of tears and we were all tired. Second night, 20 minutes of crying, slept 10-2 again. 10 minutes of crying. Slept 2-8! I am just about to wake her up.
Tie one of his arms behind his back and put a clothes pin on one nipple then make him leave it that way for half an hour. If he doesn't get it, do it again an hour later, rinse and repeat
