Is it teething? Should I be worried?

My baby boy has just turned 6 months old and for the past 2 days he’s had constant diarrhoea with every other nappy. My sister has a 1 year old and said she went through this phase for a week or 2 with my nephew and said it’s probably just teething. Should I be worried? He’s not in any pain, no temp, he’s his usual happy self. He’s been on puree since 4 months and has been absolutely fine with everything he’s had. However, Sunday and Monday he had a roast dinner (obviously blended into a puree) and I don’t know if there was too much veg in it, which is abit rich for him maybe? I’m just not sure. Is it teething, is my sister right or should I take him to the GP?

My baby has been a poo monster since starting proper weaning. It is finally calming down after 3 weeks x

Teething doesn’t cause diarrhoea, if you look on nhs website it will tell you the side effects xx

My LO has just got over having diarrhoea for almost 2 weeks. Info on the NHS website said infant diarrhoea can last up to 7 days so I waited until then (he didn’t have a temp or anything) then took him to the doctors. Doc checked him over and everything was fine and said it was likely a tummy bug. Also said it could be a bit of teething. If you want peace of mind there’s no harm taking him to the doctors, or keep an eye on it for another few days and see if it clears up.

hmm, it could be teething, but since he's happy and no fever, maybe just keep an eye on it for now? here's what the 'Heal Baby Care App' says.... "It's common for babies to experience changes in their bowel movements, especially around teething or when introducing new foods. Since your baby is happy, has no fever, and has been fine with purees before, it may be related to the new foods or teething. However, if the diarrhea persists for more than a couple of days, or if you notice signs of dehydration (like fewer wet diapers), it’s best to consult a healthcare professional. In the meantime, ensure he stays hydrated by offering plenty of fluids. Have you noticed any specific foods that seem to trigger the diarrhea?"
