We have the sock and the camera. I get notifications when there is sound, movement or crying. It is well worth it. We were told we’d have to bring our daughter home on oxygen as she was premature and in NICU for 4 weeks. So I was very used to looking at numbers. I rarely check now but it’s just peace of mind x
@Charlotte Definitely agree with you. Had a bit of a traumatic birth so was so anxious when we first brought her home. You can’t put a price on peace of mind. Hope your little one is doing well now :) x
@Jess oh I’m sorry to hear that! You definitely can’t put a price on that. Especially when it means you can get to sleep easily and what not rather than laying and worrying about every sound or non sound for that matter! I do recommend it! Thank you, she is 12 weeks now and doing amazingly 🩷 Hope you’re all ok x
Hi Jessica, I don’t have owlet but have Nanit which you don’t pay extra for camera/monitor. I chose Nanit over owlet as the sock measures oxygen saturations, however baby can stop breathing before the oxygen saturations start changing and dropping. I found the Nanit very helpful as my little one holds his breath and also it picked up that he was not breathing due to choking on his spit up (this was when he was too young to move his head). In any case, having a monitor gives peace of mind x
@Charlotte thank you ☺️ No, you really can’t. I’m a paediatric nurse and never thought I would end up with one but I can honestly say it’s probably the best thing we did at the time! That’s lovely to hear 🥰 Yes we are thank you, she’s just turned 6 months old! x
We have both the sock and the camera - we’re now using them for our second child after using them for the first. We sometimes have the camera up on the iPad if we want to keep an eye on them longer rather than relying on just the phone app, so then it can act more like a traditional monitor. If you have a smart watch you can also have the notifications through to your watch too.
There’s the option to also have the camera with it, which solves that issue but obviously it’s more expensive. We paid it off monthly and speaking from experience feel it was well worth it. x
