Babyproofing

So my little one has been army crawling for a little while now and he's getting more and more mobile so we need to think about baby proofing. Our downstairs is all open plan and I don't want to have to put stuff on all of the cupboards if I can help it. Does anyone know if I can get something that will go in this gap that doesn't involve making holes in the cupboards? Also any other general baby proofing tips would be great. I have no idea where to start.

https://amzn.eu/d/fqu8qYh I don’t know how good it is but this is a no drill retractable baby gate which I would have thought would be ideal for ease of getting in and out your kitchen space? I really should think about baby proofing too and covering up plug sockets

Brilliant thank you. I think I'll try this. I'm just slowly moving things out of the way as and when he finds them.... I should have guessed the cactus on a low shelf and the cat water bowls would be immediate targets 🤣

@Simone can’t wait for her to be in the dog’s bowls, she already tried to climb into his bed and chews on it 🤦‍♀️

@Liza British plug sockets are safer uncovered

We got my little girl a play pen and honestly it’s worked so well! She’s learning to play independently and is safe in there when I need to pop into the kitchen or loo x
