Please tell me there is a easier way to prep bottles on a morning , this is giving me anxiety. I have to boil the kettle every morning and wait 30 mins before I can prep bottles for the day and then they only last so long out the fridge so can’t plan a day out without worrying if I have enough milk ! Surely there is an easier way ???

I take a flask and the nuby out with me and then just fill up the little formula tubs and I find that easier xxxx

So a flask of hot water , the nuby to cool the bottle down ? And some formular ? Xx

Yeah! So I use the hot shot method using the nuby, I leave like 1-2oz of boiling water at the bottom of the bottle to kill off the bacteria in the formula and then I pour the rest of the water into the nuby to cool it down and then mix it all together! It’s ready for drinking then! Hope that makes sense😂😂xxx

Nuby and hot water flask.

I've tried to condense my Nappy bag into a uniqlo dumpling bag so don't have the room for extra flasks. Formula can stay out of the fridge for 2 hours and I have ready to use cartons for anything after that

I fill a jug or a small container with preboiled water and keep that in the fridge to add to the newly boiled water to cool it to room temp so baby can drink straight away. I do 1oz hot water and 1oz cold.

We use the tommee tippee prep machine and it only takes a couple of mins! Whenever I have free time, I stock up the bag with little formula containers and then just before going out I prepare the tommee tippee thermos and that gives us like 3x bottles on the go x

Flask of hot water and flask of cold boiled water. I do half and half so don’t need any prep machines or nubs cool bottle. Put formula pre measured into bottle before going out. If you don’t want to carry anything just buy premade bottles.

When Im in I just use my tommee tippee prep which is a life saver! When Im out for the whole day I take a thermos with hot water and flask with cool boiled water then sort out the formula in the powder box, bring extra bottles, pour 3oz of hot water in a bottle put in fomula then shake, then get other bottle and measure out 3oz of cool water and pour and shake, i usually have to wait a few mins for it to cool but I tend to prep before shes ready for it. If i run out of formula or the hot waters gone cold I either ask a pub to top it up or I buy some sma readymade milk cartons as she doesn't mind milk cold

When I did use formula I used the premade when out. But then I went full time exclusively pumping so stopped that before that before the expensive route. Hot shot methods probably the easiest thing when out

It lasts 4 hours out of the fridge in a cool bag. I use the bottle sized cool bag that came with my nappy bag and then have some small freezer packs from Amazon which keep it cool. This works really well for me as I tend to only ever need to take one bottle out and about with me and hate the weight of carrying flasks around for just one bottle… but understand it may not be for everyone!

I always make them the night before and then heat them up with the Mom Cozy bottle warmer!

@Rachael I'd never thought to do this, thank you!!

Just use the ready to feed bottle, it’s not that expensive if you’re only using them for the odd feed here and there on days out. I always keep one spare jn the nappy bag.

@Lauren You’re welcome, and like Bianca-Jasmine has said I make bottles the night before whilst my partner does the evening feed, then (if I’ve planned it right) whilst I’m on my own during the day I don’t have to prep any bottles 😊

@Rachael it’s honestly so much easier isn’t it!!! I always make them at 7:30pm ish as I know his last bottle is at 6:30pm - that way they are all within 24 hours. If we go out, I just take them with me and heat them up on the Mom Cozy bottle warmer!!xxx

Hot shot method, flask of boiling water, flask of cooled boiled water, add say 2oz hot water, mix formula in then top up with cooled water or a prep machine

We use prep machine when at home and nuby rapid cool when out and about x

Bottles last for 24 hours in the fridge so get more bottles if you need to but always have some in the fridge. I just put boiled water in bottles in the fridge then add formula when he’s ready to feed. We have a bottle warmer that keeps a bottle warm for 24 hours so I always have a bottle (with boiled water only) in there ready to add formula & go. For going out I use the ready to feed formula bottles & just pour it in & my baby will take it at room temperature but I know some people keep a little bowl with them & either a flask of boiling water or a lot of restaurants & cafes will happily fill your bowl with boiling water so you can stick the bottle of milk in there for a few minutes if your little one likes it warmer.
