Sleep

Asking this for my youngest (9 months). My eldest was rarely ill as a baby and teething never bothered her. Never knew how lucky I was until I had my youngest who gets a lot of pain and discomfort with teething and is ill a lot.. my eldest started nursery last year so I presume she is bringing all the germs home! Anyway the issue is that my youngest's sleep is really affected when she is ill and teething, she resorts back to contact napping and we get night wakes again. It's so frustrating! Does anyone recall how long their sleep is affected by being ill, do they just start to prefer their bed again when they get older? Thanks x

All of us getting the flu when March baby was 9 months was the slow death of sleeping in the cot, by age 1 she wouldn't sleep in the cot at all anymore. She's in her own room & own bed now, but I'm on a mattress next to her.

So my marchie was always a terrible sleeper, we got a floor bed for her at 14 months. It was honestly a life changer! I would sleep with her if she was ill, but she knew that was her space. She loves her bed now, we still sleep with her on occasion when she’s not well or just has a rough night. I truly wish we got the floor bed sooner.
