I just booked my first trip away with her to London and I’m petrified now of a 2 hour train journey incase she acts up. It feels like it’s constant crying all day and she used to be such a happy baby. She’s fine throughout the night only cries for a feed that’s it! It’s really knocked my confidence this week I don’t know what to do anymore but I won’t be having any big days out for a while xx
Yeah I honestly completely get it and I know it’s easier said then done but would I would say is that your baby’s cry always sounds louder to you but try not to worry on the train as other people will hardly notice and if they do all babies cry, I have to remind myself of that on a packed bus 🤣🤣 xx
I know it might be a pain but have you tried baby wearing when you go on a walk?
@Lynds yeah! I have been wearing her and she’s soooo much better than in the car or pram but sometimes need to use the pram so it’s hard 😭
@Chloe Butterfield so true! I’m going to keep the trip booked in. Hopefully it’ll rebuild my confidence 😞 lost all confidence this week the crying is 24/7
My baby is 11.5 weeks old and I feel the same. I go for walks with her every single day but if it’s a relatively long walk or if I take her to see family for a few hours, whatever I do she’ll be so unsettled and cry when we get home (and most likely cry/unsettled during the last hour of being out) it gives me alot of anxiety about going out but equally can’t stay home all day for my sanity. She’s never been much of a cryer so I just feel like i’m causing it
My baby is the same, very grumpy during the day, but actually pretty chilled on an evening/night. I always try to get out too, and when he's asleep it's fine but then he wakes up screaming, needs to feed and is just generally grumpy afterwards. When we go to baby classes, he always seems to be the only baby crying... And he's so loud too 🙈 it's so stressful sometimes, I always think everyone is judging 😥
@Jade I literally feel the exact same! My family live 30/40 min drive away and if I spend the day at my mums it’s pointless because she cries all day! The car journeys are rough too! I really hope it’s a phase. Glad I’m not on my own!
@Louise I feel the exact same! I was soo active with her too out and about every day and now I’m anxious too!
Yes, my 8 week old has decided she now hates the pram and will only be worn if I want to go anywhere, which is fine because it’s an option, but sometimes I just want to use the pram! So I’ll have to carry her and push an empty pram like a giant handbag on wheels, just in case I need to put her down at some point. She also seems to be fussing a lot more when out and about, and she used to be such a happy baby. Hoping it’s just a phase!
Omg- same boat. Last 3 days since he turned 10 weeks he is kicking off like never before. Refusing naps, crying/fussing a lot. Very difficult to settle. You’re not on your own- possibly a growth spurt/development leap. X
Mines doing the same. Getting herself all worked up for no reason. I think it’s a mixture of things. I think there can’t express a need, belly cramps and growing pains. I believe that’s what mine is experiencing. If you worried speak to your gp. Your not doing anything wrong 😑 xxx
Hiya mine is also 10 weeks your absolutely not a failure and I could of written this myself !! I’m just sticking to close walks near home at the moment and literally handing baby over when my partner gets back from work just for a break and my sanity!! I’ve heard it’s common at 10 weeks and will ease by 12 x
