They book an obstetrics appointment for soon after the scan as a follow up. It's just to talk through the results with a doctor. I've had the exact same.
It’s normal. Typically US techs/doctors won’t tell you directly what’s going on. They read it, send it to your doctor to then pass along to you. Every time I get an ultrasound I have an appointment with my doctor directly after. I just did my growth scan cuz at 34 weeks he’s measuring 39w and 7lbs. I did my growth scan, went to my doctor who said everything looked great explained what the found and sent me on my way. 🖤
It’s normal, the consultant will just check the scan and discuss any possible options with you. It’s nothing to worry about
very normal, most sonographers can’t go through the results of the scan idk why so you have a consultation afterwards with a clinician/midwife who goes through the scan results with you
It’s normal, I had my 32 week scan yesterday and baby is measuring on the 99th centile 😂 they said they’d book me in a 36 week scan and a consultant appointment for after
@Jess May I ask how much your baby was estimated to weigh at your 32-week appointment? I have a 32-week growth scan next week because my first baby was born above the 97th percentile, and they’re checking if this baby is measuring similarly.
@Nora they said she’s currently 5lb 3oz apparently! My 1st daughter was 9lb 9oz when she was born (10 days late) so I’m hoping this one isn’t overdue!
@Jess thanks for your reply! xx our history is so similar! My first boy was 9lb 10oz at birth and he arrived 10 days after his due date too!😊
