Dummy fairy ideas

We used an elf door at Xmas put them by the door at night in the morning there was a gift We also have a fairy door that sometimes gifts are left for good achievement simple thing like a chocolate coin nothing big occasionally small toy

@samantha may I ask.. how many nights did it take for your little one to be OK with no dummy?

We wrote a letter to the ‘diddy fairy’ with the diddys and the fairy left a present for the morning and a letter to say thank you and well done x

I have twins they asked the first night I said they elf has taken on cried other didn’t both asked next night I said they were gone couldn’t get them back they were fine I weaned them off from young age so only had them for bed time until 2 and half no day time dummy

This is dummy fairy related but we planted our little ones dummy in a plant pot in the garden and planted a flower on top, so he can watch a flower grow from his dummy.

The works has a wooden door, we bought it and painted it together. We put it outside and then we wrote a letter to the dummy fairy “dear dummy fairy, in exchange for my dummies can I have xyz” (my daughter wanted a singing Elsa doll) I explained the fairy takes it to babies who need them, her interpretation of that was it was for baby fairy’s so, just went with that haha 🤣 we took the letter and the dummies in a jar to the door and knocked. I said let’s give the fairy some time and get a sweet inside (she was reluctant to leave so needed something to distract) I took the items and put down a gift bag and letter from the dummy fairy. I added some fairy stickers, a book and a cuddly toy with the Elsa doll. After dinner we went back and checked and she was so excited! She asked for her dummy once or twice but I reminded her what she did and how generous she was ❤️ she did really well x

We got a plain bag and put my daughters dummies in them, and hung it on the back door so the fairy could come in and take them in the night. In the morning the plain bag was swapped for a glittery gift bag with chocolate inside and 3 little tiny stuffed unicorns that she now takes to bed! She absolutely loved it x

We said the Easter Bunny takes dummy's for poor children but will swap it for Easter surprises. Worked a treat. She mentioned it a few times that week but never after xx

We done it! Two nights without dummy and no tears! X
