Advice needed!!! đź””

We have booked a holiday to Cornwall ( CAMPING) on 15th June! I will be 8 weeks postpartum after having a planned c-section! From where I live it is a 7 hour drive on a good drive down and it’s looking like I am most likely going to have to drive myself, newborn baby and 3 year old daughter as we don’t have enough space in one car with all the camping equipment that is required to take with us! I don’t know if I’ve really thought it through properly and the closer I’m getting to giving birth the more it scares me please be honest and give me your opinions on what I should do as I’m so torn! 🤦🏼‍♀️

When it comes to your health and something as major as giving birth, I'd say better safe than sorry. I'm not sure how strong your pelvic floor muscles are, but if they're not strong enough and you do to much straining, you're uterus could drop. Allegedly.

What about getting a roof box or so to have more space? I definitely wouldn’t have wanted to drive that long and you shouldn’t carry your toddler at 8 weeks pp I think so it might be tricky to travel alone with 2 kids not fully healed. it really depends on how you heal, but I wouldn’t have enjoyed camping with a newborn. And I’m generally up for a crazy adventure. You’ll be up a lot in the night of course and your scar might still hurt and if you’re breastfeeding you need to find comfortable positions. But also nappy changes can be trickier and your toddler might wake up with the baby, if baby doesn’t like the temperatures outdoors. But saying all of that, there usually is a way to make most things work. But I’d say don’t travel alone
