Poops.

Do you use probiotics? I found my little one was going once every 4 days, so I started her on probiotics and now she goes once or twice a day x

@Mel how did you go about choosing them I’d have no idea which ones to get?

My daughter also had 1 poo every 3-4 days and now didn't have a poo for 7 days. Yesterday, I called a health visitor, then gp, and finally 111. They said she needed to see a doctor, so they booked us an appointment. The doctors prescribed her lactulose for 1 week and said she should go back to normal after that. We gave her a dose yesterday and today, and she had 2 poos so far. I am not happy giving my baby laxatives, but I hope it will get her back to normal soon.

1/2 times a day. If you’re concerned maybe phone your gp but I’m sure he’ll poop soon☺️

Mamas my boy had various digestive and poop issues but since I bought kendamil probiotics which I keep in the fridge and give him 5 drops per day in his morning bottle it’s all sorted. He poopes once every two days. I had his stool sample tested to make sure there’s no bacteria but thankfully all is good and sometime babies don’t poop daily particular formula babies like my boy.

@Mollie I just picked, I tried colief but didn’t seem to do much for my little one, but now I use kendamil comfort drops x

I’ve spoken to a GP and Health Visitor and they’ve both said it’s normal for fluctuations for formula fed babies. They both said if baby is happy- don’t worry!

@Holly I know it’s hard to get through isn’t it but they usually prioritise babies x

Constipation likelihood aside, how much does your baby drink over 24h? I’ve found if ours has under a certain amount (1000ml) he would go every 2-3 days whereas if he is above that he goes every day. Have you tried giving them more? How do they react? But yea I think if it’s more than 3 days I’d personally get it checked out!

@Klara I upped his bottles like last week to 7oz which sometimes he’ll drink all but sometimes he leaves an ounce or 2. He has a bottle about every 3.5 hours! The dr gave some lactose so hopefully he’ll do something 😂
