I would personally say something about it I would say “oh no she’s not tired not she gets her eye shape from her dad he’s Korean” I have a similar problem where people say to him “aw your out having fun with auntie today mommy’s having a break” I would say this drives me up the wall.
I don't really of people say I just usually agree and move on. It's not worth my energy.
I also have mixed Asian kiddos (half Chinese on their dad’s side). I often get random white grandparents feeling the need to show me pictures of their grandkids that are “just like my sons” 😬 (aka half Asian) or tell me that “oh my son/daughter married an (insert Asian ethnicity here)!! What type of Asian is yours? Like excuse me I’m just trying to buy groceries why are you trying to bond with me over your mixed grandkids rn 🥲 Even when I was in the hospital RIGHT AFTER BIRTH, I had a nurse ask me “so what type of Asian is he?” While pointing to my newborn 🙃 why are people so obsessed with needing to know what they’re mixed with???
@Amanda Pictures even!? Wow ... I've haven't gotten pictures yet lol
@Terra I've contemplated saying something but at the same time, it's not worth my energy since she doesn't know what they're saying yet. If they still say it when she's older, I'll teach her to tell them she's not tired. Lol
My husband is black and I’m white so our son is mixed but just looks super tan so people always says “woah he’s so tan” and I say how it’s cause his dad is black
Is looking sleepy supposed to be a negative comment? I'd just say she's actually half asian her eyes always look like that haha
@KatTo someone who is asian yes they are not sleepy that’s just how their eyes are shaped
When I leave my daughters hair down, someone will always say omg look at your crazy hair! When it’s just curly hair? I always correct people, it’s so annoying
I’m black my son father is white, when we’re in public people ask if he’s my child or why is he so white ehh hate it
People can be so insensitive it’s ridiculous. People really need to stop with making fun of persons of Asian decent with tighter eyes. Nothing is wrong with that we are different and unique in our way no matter our backgrounds. I’m sure she’s adorable. Please ignore the next person that mentions it. I wouldn’t even smile or nod cause it’s honestly just insensitive.
