Oh, I completely get how frustrating and unsettling that must be.Pregnancy does the strangest things to our bodies, and digestion is definitely one of them. I’ve had my fair share of random tummy troubles too, sometimes constipated for days, then suddenly hit with unexpected diarrhoea out of nowhere, complete with the sweats and cramps. It’s like my digestive system can’t make up its mind😞 It’s so frustrating when there’s no clear trigger, especially when you’re eating well. I’ve also heard pregnancy hormones can just randomly mess with digestion, and some people’s bodies react differently to certain foods than they did pre-pregnancy. I totally understand the anxiety around it too,it’s hard not to stress when you don’t know when the next episode will hit Maybe keep a food/symptom diary just in case a pattern does show up? Hopefully, it eases up soon for you. You’re definitely not alone in this💕
It’s so awful because a slight niggle or pain in my belly I panic thinking it’s diereah especially when I’m out in public but a niggle and pain is normal in pregnancy with everything moving and growing so I’m constantly on edge thinking ‘do I need the toilet’ I think you’re right and I’m just going to have to eat quite plain moving forward and keep a closer eye on my diet. Thank you hun xxx
I would definitely mention to your GP as midwives usually won't intervene unless it's pregnancy specific while that seems more like a medical issue. I have experienced this however i would suffer extremely bad with my bowels prior to pregnancy so when it happens to me my drs assume it's overflow due to being fecally impacted which was shown on all my X-rays just before I found out I was pregnant. I could go to the toilet no issues on the run up to this also. Sometimes a GP might recommend a laxative which is completely safe during pregnancy xx
