Talking/babbling

My 13 month old still isn’t really saying words - he babbles a lot and makes lots of ‘da, ba, ma’ sounds but no words at all. Should I be worried?

Mine doesn’t either - he Saids Ba ba sometimes Saids mama and dada but don’t think me means to as he’s only said them once or twice x

My wee boy is the same. He will say mama and dada referring to us but babbles away making all sorts of noises but no other words yet x

Mine doesn't either. She says mama and dada but not "to" us, just sort of randomly.

no need to be worried at this stage, the world is so new to them. just keep listening to what they say and repeat back words that sound similar and associate and they’ll eventually start to copy and repeat back x

Mine doesn’t really “say” anything. She says what sounds like “yeah” a lot, and will intone “he-lo” sometimes when asked to say hello. I think it’s normal though, and means nothing to do with how fast or slow they are. Only once they pass 18 months which is still a lot of time developmentally do they begin to worry.

I wouldn't worry, my boy says dada, mama, baba, hiya, yeah, no and trying to say doggy
