Cot bumpers

Okay so I know all the nothing in the cot etc thing but my 18 month old sleeps in his cot with a duvet and pillow which is what he’s used to from co sleeping. It works well however because he moves he bangs his head on the top of the cot and wakes up crying. Is there anything I can put there to sort it out and stop him banging his head to wake up?
