Same as above - waiting for them to reach out after an emergency c section but i was also told it might take a few months.
@Ellie @Daria my health visitor referred me for a de-brief and I then received a call from to arrange the appointment for next month. They said you can usually access the service up to a year after birth so definitely not too late to organise it now. I would give your health visitor a call and they should be able to sort it for you.
I also recommend anyone with birth trauma and potentially PTSD accessing support from your local NHS talking therapies to help you process the trauma and any negative thoughts or behaviours in response to it xx
I had an extremely traumatic labour and have a appointment in regards to helping either birth and traumatic labour etc because I keep having it come up in my dreams reliving it My baby is 12 weeks old I also have post partum depression and am having help with that
Hi! I brought up to the midwives I was experiencing birth trauma after an emergency c section and they said the nhs offer a service 3-6 months post birth reviewing all the notes from birth and explaining why everything went the way it did. Me and my partner both said we wanted this but haven’t heard anything since but my son is only 12 weeks x
