Yeah keep them in the syringes, then in a sterilised or sterile bag / tub but make sure they’re labelled with date and time. Then freeze them x
@Rachel going to message the midwife see if I can get some more if not will happily order some because she said to try and express a few times a day! I really wasn't expecting it to happen first try turns out my boobs are like taps 😅🤦 it would likely have been more than one filled from each if half of it didn't drip everywhere 😂
lol that’s amazing. I have loads of syringes and nothing doing 🤣 they had to help me do it last time after birth it was all a bit odd lol
At how many weeks did you start collecting if you don’t mind sharing? Do you have to defreeze them before going to the hospital when labour starts? 🙏🏻
So I think last time I had GD and they suggested 36 ish weeks. I think from 37 is fine but there is a small chance of bringing on Labour. No from what I remember you take it in a cool bag and they’ll freeze it for you when you get there, they just take it out as and when you give it to baby, it takes no time to defrost x
@Yelena I'm currently 36+2 and been told I can start collecting when I went to the midwife today! I think generally it's around 36/37 weeks
How do you defrost it? Or how long before you can use it? X

You can freeze it in the syringe, close it with a cap. Put in a box all the syringes. You need to lable it with your name and expression date.
Just pop them straight in the freezer as you can pop them straight into baby’s mouth. I’d prob ask for more or as you say get some - 6 isn’t a lot! (Although I can’t get anything 🤣)
