Books

My 11 month old DESTROYS his books! No matter what I do hes either ripping them, eating them, or damaging them in some way! Nothing I do stops him either so I've given up on a few of them

@Adriana I'll have to get some! I dont want to keep him from books and the way his room is i cant keep them all from him but he just wants to rip and eat them

Love these indestructibles! He also has a lot of board books. He’s only destroyed one board book so far.

I was going to say, do you give him board books? They are very much the thing at that age lol. I still won't trust my daughter around any paper book at almost 17 months. 😂 There are only a couple of board ones with flaps that she can rip off and I'm choosing to use it as an an opportunity to teach natural consequence. If she rips them off, they gone. 🤷

@Melissa these are board books! He destroys the flaps and eats the spines i try and stop but but I cant watch him 24/7. I step away for a second to go to the bathroom and i come back and hes ripped the cover off

@Ashley dang! You got a strong one on your hands! 😂

@Ashley yeah that’s the way I felt I put her books away and will take them out when I’m able to supervise her but I felt bad cause books are good for them then we found those and tried one and it’s been good so far

My niece loved her indestructible books so much she wouldn't hand them down to my daughter even though she'd outgrown them 😂

You can do a lot to repair board books with clear packing tape. I called it "book surgery."

My little boy tends to rip the flaps off of his lift the flap books, and he is nearly 3 🤦🏼‍♀️ it used to be on purpose but now I think it is more a case of he doesn't know his own strength when he lifts them. I just tape them back on.

Indestructible books on Amazon!!

Fabric ones hold up pretty well too.

Indestructibles!!!! We love those! You can even wash them!

Same 😔 it got better as my daughter got older but the impulsiveness be getting her

I can’t let my 3 & 5 year old have paper page books because they rip them up. Board books it is lol.

We went through this! Board books are harder for them to actually rip the pages. Book may look crazy but it’s readable. You could also put them in a locked cabinet. I still have some books with her teeth marks imprinted from when she was a baby
