I'm two weeks post c section (also with a toddler). My partner has been amazing help doing basically everything to allow me to recover. I'm basically pain free at the minute but still avoiding lifting my toddler. Keep on top of your pain relief even if you think youre feeling good and accept any help that is offered to you. Take it easy for the first week especially. Try avoid any sudden movements, twists or bends (I made this mistake and I suffered 🥲). Ps congratulations and I hope your recovery goes well.
Honestly my biggest advice is take things easy but don’t sit on the sofa or bed like they tell you get up and out I had a c section 5 weeks ago and on day 3 we went a nice long walk. Don’t get me wrong I was in pain the next day but again we went out and kept doing that and about 10 days on I was in no pain. Had lost the majority of the weight and was feeling happy. I was cleared to drive 15 pp and have been in the gym and swimming 4 weeks pp and I genuinely put it down to the fact I got out the house so soon after.
Keep on top of your pain relief every 4 to 6 hours and don’t do anything like heavy lifting or cleaning x

Rest really is the only thing. Take it super slow and easy, you need someone to help with household bits. Wear super comfy pyjamas and drink lots of water x
