Pretty much anything loose fitting. Dresses, skirts, trousers. I wore a loose fitting maxi dress to leave hosp too but again it was June. So easier to live in loose clothing
Looser clothing is definitely more comfortable but tighter clothing is ok if it's soft fabric- i.e. leggings. I've worn pyjamas at home and when leaving the hospital and when leaving the house ive mostly worn maternity leggings as not much else fits me and these have been comfy. I've also worn dungarees/ jumpsuits that are light and comfy and these are ok as not pressing down on my tummy. I imagine it would be a lot easier in the summer when you can wear dresses as these would be the most comfortable. But when I've worn dresses with tights the tights are putting too much pressure in that area.
I’ve just gone for some baggy loose trousers that sit high up so won’t touch the incision x
With my first I didn’t want anything that was hugging my skin as I felt tender so I left the hospital in a maternity dress that slightly hung away from where my wound was 😊 I then just wore high waisted shorts most of the time (it was the June 23 heatwave) or my maternity comfies until the swelling in my belly had gone down then I moved back into my leggings/flowy trousers
I wore loose clothing for a week or two, but once the scar was healing nicely I actually preferred tighter clothing as the compression helped how my belly felt. Have both options available and choose comfort!
Leggings was all and still are my go to or cycling shorts but the one that go over hur belly
Big pants and lounge wear for me although I did still wear leggings
Definitely get some looser clothing. I also found that my pregnancy underwear was much nicer to wear than my pre-pregnancy as the pregnancy underwear is much higher waisted. For about 3 months I couldn’t stand the elastic band of underwear rubbing against the scar. I’m now 4 months pp and it’s easier now.
I wore a fitted maxi dress in my way home it was summer though and it was fine.
