IUI

Hey ladies I had IUI procedure almost a week ago, should I have signs of pregnancy yet? Has anyone gone through this journey that could give me some hope, I’m 40 years old so I know the chances are low but I just have a good feeling this could be what we needed all along, I have a 15 year old so I know I can get pregnant it just wasn’t working without a little help🙏🏼

Stay patient and calm and you will see your baby is coming

Hi! We did two rounds of IUI and were successful with the second time, not the first. At this point most symptoms would be the same as your coming period so it's hard to tell. You wouldn't really be able to tell till the first day of your missed period. Even with an IUI. But you are close to some of the early detection tests working! Weirdly, I could usually tell I was likely pregnant by my resting heart rate with my Fitbit if you use a fitness tracker. It goes up and ups before your period, but plateaus. When you are pregnant it just keeps going up. As I said, the first IUI didn't work but the second one did for us so don't lose hope if the first time doesn't work. But I hope it does for you!

Implantation would be happening about now, so pregnancy symptoms would be unlikely just yet

I did IUI and got twin girls first try. I felt stabbing pains with implantation that was nothing like PMS symptoms. That was the only thing that was "different" that soon. I always have crazy dreams but I dreamt about "our people" waving at us one night about day 7 after insemination. Sending baby dust!

I'm also 40 and got pregnant with IUI. We tried for 3 months with timed sex, no luck. Then started Clomid. The first month I was SO convinced I was pregnant because my boobs were swollen (like 20% bigger) and achy like I'd never felt... but nothing. The boobs must have just been a clomid side effect. Then next month we did clomid and IUI and I got pregnant! Could not tell and had no new symptoms until 14 days after the IUI when I got a faint but readable pregnancy test. Crossing my fingers for you!
