@Debora does the cream make them go away over time or just reduce pain? Sorry if it’s a silly question x Quite new to all of this and it’s freaking me out a bit x
I had exactly the same first time round. Had forceps, episiotomy and spinal block and also could not believe what had happened to my back passage. I asked the midwife and she said it was normal and it all went back to normal size eventually xx
I had something similar and it just sorted itself out but deffo take advice if you’re concerned! X
I had a forceps delivery, episiotomy, lost 2 L of blood and got an hermorrhoid too. I’m feeling totally awful, day 5 in hospital PP
@Camila so sorry 😔 it’s horrible isn’t it when the birth you had in mind doesn’t go to plan
@Christie hopefully this happens 😢
Yes the steroid creams makes them reduce in size and inflammation. It literally took 4-5days and the difference was crazy. Dont get me wrong they are still there and I am not using germoloids to keep reducing them. You can only use steroids for 7days
I’m just over 2 weeks pp and had forceps with an episiotomy and a spinal and had the exact same thing and was so sore!! I didn’t get steroid cream but got some hemorrhoid cream with lidocaine in (numbing) and found that really helped when I applied it throughout the day. Also used lactulose to make going to the loo a lot less daunting with the stitches and pain. They’re now so much better and have shrunk in size - just needed some time and TLC and lots of rest!! And when you’re feeling less sore you can start doing pelvic floor exercises etc. You’ll get there, try not to worry and be kind to yourself xx
I had awful hemorrhoids after giving birth nearly 2weeks ago! It was beyond painful. I saw my GP and she prescribed steroid creams which took about 4 or 5days to make it better! Get it checked out ASAP! Warm showers directed at the hemorrhoids helped me massively ! Hope you feel better soon x
