Anyone struggling to cope still?

Had my baby end on Jan 2024 and it was pretty traumatic she was a very colicky baby then diagnosed with CMPA. I am now an insomniac from all the broken sleep from the baby stage and never quite shook it off I’ve tried everything to reset my sleep but it’s like adrenaline through my body at night. I’ve done CBT and prescribed Sertraline which I haven’t taken as we were trying for baby no.2 and I thought I’d have sorted it by now. I’m now 5 weeks pregnant and have the real fear of this is my life now last night I didn’t get to sleep till 4am (awake at 7am) after going to bed at 8:30pm, has anyone taken sertraline when pregnant or has any tips to help?

I have taken sertraline since I was a teenager (with a couple of breaks that didn't work out) and found it really helps my sleep and depression, and takes the edge off the anxiety. You feel worse for a few days when you first start. I took it all through my pregnancy and breastfeeding, and don't think it's affected my daughter at all

@Anna thank you for sharing! I’m glad it helped you xxx

I kind of sleep trained myself and follow same routine before bed every night. You’ve probably done most of this but I’ve tried the following for my insomnia - CBT, lavender oil, brown noise, changing beds if I’m still not asleep after an hour, reading, sleep stories on calm app, cut out caffeine and sugar, breathing exercises, ‘body scan’ exercise, being outside first thing in morning and as sun goes down. I found that I had to do a combination of things to help. My sleep still isn’t great but it’s much better than it was
