I got the balloon at like 10am contractions started but then stopped balloon came out around 7pm which meant I was 3cm dilated. Got brought in the next morning they broke my water a few times and my contractions started then on my own but they still went ahead with the pitocin to help my labour along this all started at 11am they stopped my pitocin around 2pm as I was in full blown labour and didn't need the drip and baby girl was born at 4:49pm very positive experience no nausea or sickness just obviously felt the normal pain associated with labour - would opt to be induced again as it was that's good xx

Mine was pretty positive! I would have preferred a less medical birth overall and I didnt get my water birth but it was still positive. I went in at 8am on Boxing Day and had the pessary inserted, the first day was fine, just did walks around the hospital and chilled in between monitoring. Overnight had a little bit of cramping. The next day some contractions started (dilation not actual labour), by 9pm on day 2, so like 36 hours later I was 2cm and she could feel babies head, pessary was removed and 8am next day waters were broken. It was a long day on the drip which did hurt but the remi pen and gas and air helped so much. I was 10cm by 6pm, started pushing at 7pm, no pain relief and baby was born at 7.45pm. Had episiotomy and vaccuum as baby wasnt happy by then but I didnt care by that point and she was 9lbs4 😂 So from start of induction to baby was like 60 hours for me, 2.5 days. Message me if you have questions. I liked knowing when I was going in to be honest and could prepare

So exciting!! You’ll soon get to meet your little baby 🥺💕 I had a really positive experience being induced. I was induced at Antrim Area at 41 weeks. I had the propess in and I had no problem (obviously it doesn’t tickle lol) but I had it out after 3 hours because my contractions were strong but I had the most amazing midwives looking after me. They listened to everything I said and my husband was a great advocate too. I was sick because of diamorphine and they moved me into my own room to give me the privacy. You have choices too and don’t be afraid to say if you’re not comfortable with something. I didn’t want an epidural and the doctors kinda want you to just get it so they can go away but I said to my midwife I wanted remi and she helped me get it. My midwife read my birth plan and kept asking if I want do abc. You are going to do amazing and soon you’ll be sat with your little baby in your arms. If you have any other questions you can message me xo

I got induced at the Royal in Feb last year. Got the balloon inserted on Friday 9th told to go home until it fell out. Fell out Sat 10th but I was told they would call me when a bed was ready..got the call Sunday half 8 at night. All hooked up monitored the baby and me til maybe 11pm when they broke my waters. Honestly thought it would be horrendous but was ok, was put on the hormone drip, upped to the max level twice, agreed by drs, but unfortunately after 27hrs of being awake and no food I just couldn't get past 5cm so ended up with a c section but I was only 38 weeks pregnant so think my body just wasn't ready. The c section was actually great, all midwives and drs were amazing and very relaxing and recovery was alot easier than I thought.

I had the balloon, but it didn’t work and had to be deflated to be removed. I was only 2cm dilated. They started the drip at 11am, and by 6pm, I was in full-blown labour. My own contractions kicked in, but since they were coming thick and fast, I was still on the drip. Both my heart rate and the baby’s weren’t great, so they had to give me a few injections to slow things down. I laboured through until 9am, was a full 10cm then pushed for two and a half hours, but my baby girl wouldn’t descend, so I was taken for an emergency C-section. Despite everything, it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life, and I would do it all again tomorrow. The best advice I can give is to go with the flow and try to enjoy the experience as much as possible. I did, even through the pain. I didn’t get an epidural, I used gas and air and morphine injection, and it honestly made the pain so much more bearable—but everyone’s different! Either way it’s such an exciting and amazing experience ❤️❤️

I had the balloon inserted 1pm 10th march, cramps started straight away so was told to go for a walk and they eased so much, then balloon fell out at 9.30pm and contractions started 10 mins apart but was no beds on labour ward so had to stay on induction ward until 12pm next day so they brought me round and give me gas and air which was amazing after sitting contracting all night with no pain relief, once contractions started getting really strong I got the morphine injection, they then broke my waters at about 4pm, got to 10cm about 9pm and baby was born at 10.14pm on 11th march his wee due date, had the best labour and the best wee midwives ever I would do it all again tomorrow no problem and next time round I will deffo take the induction if it’s offered x

Thanks so much girls definitely feel a bit better after reading through these 💖

I was induced with Foley catheter and it was fantastic. Had it in a 6pm it fell out quite quickly much to the midwife's surprise 😂Went into labour a few hours later and had her early hours the next day.
