@Jess thank you! I’ve given him a prune pouch today - he’s at nursery (with nappy as we are not there yet)- so hopefully that helps. Thanks I would feel sad stopping as he loves celebrating all his pees on the potty and even makes me come over and look 🤣 just worried he will get constipated etc. he used to poo every day when he was in nappies just a few weeks ago. Now it’s been 3 days - not that it’s crazy but he pooped in the bath on Saturday and was so upset about it and I wonder if that’s what’s set him off holding it. Me and his dad were like it’s ok! Don’t worry about it etc but he was visibly upset 😢
Oh cute, my daughter is the same 🤣❤️ He might, but unfortunately I think most go through it (I spoke to my health visitor and a few others when we were struggling). My daughter would also hold it in until last minute but one day she just wasn’t scared any more so hopefully it’s short lived for you guys xx I found it sooo stressful for us both 🥲
@Jess it is so stressful! So glad to hear she eventually just went for it 🤣 hopefully my boy will just give in and realise it’s not that bad and better out than in haha
I think it can be quite scary for them! For us, the only thing that helped was time and being really positive about it. Like talking about all of us doing it, our pets, how it’s a good thing and makes your tummy happy, celebrating , making a huge positive deal, when she does it and anything about it 🤣 Make sure he is having enough fibre, fruit, water etc to make him poop. I wouldn’t say stop and it’s very normal for them to go through this x
