Pre walker shoes

I’m torn about whether I should buy my son some pre walker shoes or not. He is standing but not unaided, is kind of cruising around the furniture but not fully. I’ve been looking at the Clarks pre-walkers. Would you suggest buying them at this stage? Or waiting until he’s actually walking? When I take him out on his trike or out and about in general now I feel like he should have something on his feet but I’m not sure. My son is almost 13 months.

We bought my littles boy Clark’s prewalkers at 9months old and little a few weeks later he started walking while holding onto furniter. I’m not sure if it was just a coincidence it he had no signs at all of doing that before x

My LG was cruising around furniture and taking 1 or 2 steps and I went and got her pre-walkers, within 24 hours she was walking around. For her I think it just made her more stable on her feet and now she’s almost running😵‍💫

No shoes is better for their feet - they don’t need anything on their feet until they need to be able to walk outside.

We waited until she was walking before putting her in shoes. I think they find Thier balance better bear foot x

@Jen hi lovely, is this a medical fact? Or opinion. I’m still undecided x

Medical fact - straight from the NHS (plus makes logical sense for growing bones) “Choosing first shoes Under the age of 5, children's feet grow very fast, and it's important that the bones grow straight. The bones in a baby's toes are soft at birth. If they're cramped by tight shoes or socks, they can't straighten out and grow properly. Your child won't need proper shoes until they're walking on their own. Even then, shoes can be kept for outside walking only, at least at first. It's important that shoes and socks are the right size.” https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/baby/health leg-and-foot-problems-in-children/
