C section - hard mass underneath

Hi everybody, I’ve had two c sections, my second time round I’m currently 16 weeks pp. Firstly, I have a very prominent shelf which surprised me as I didn’t have one previous and I’m quite slim and petite. Secondly and more concerningly, when I’m feeling tummy, beneath my scar (not my scar itself) I’m feeling a solid thick sausage shape inside. It feels quite hard and tender. I’ve mentioned it to just about any healthcare professional who will listen but nobody is concerned unless my scar is open, bleeding, leaking fluid or smelly. Which on the outside it’s healed neatly. What could this be? Have you experienced this?

I'm interested in this too... I also have this .. I had an emergency C-section 20 weeks ago x

Yea I had this to some degree on both ends and I find the one end gets much harder throughout the day.. I mentioned it to the OB who did the surgery and to my midwives at all my postpartum appointments and they all just said, it’s normal; it’s just where the incision ends, it’s the tying off of the sutures (which are inside) it’ll go down, it’s scar tissue is another one I got.. for context I’m 5.5 months post section and yes, one side has went almost completely away but the other side nope. I find scar massage helps keep it from feeling to big but it’s definitely not ideal. I also have parts of my scar that are raised (like keloid type raised), parts that are slightly raised, and parts that are completely flat… of all the things that bother me the most about the scar .. or I guess make me feel self conscious about it this is it. I hate that it’s not flat..

Sounds like scar tissue I have got some little hard lumps on my stomach from doing the blood thinning injections
