Ring up the early pregnancy unit as they can do a scan as it sounds like you may have some retained tissue that your body can’t get rid of x
@Julia @Lisa they gave me a scan already 1 week after my miscarriage (to confirm it) and said that my uterus was empty and back to its pre pregnancy state
Ah right. Could they maybe do some bloods just to confirm it as well just to be 100% sure. I had a miscarriage and I bled heavy for 2 days and then 5 days like a period. If you do a negative test does it show up negative yet?x
I called EPU when I was in the same position and they sent me to hospital gynaecology department to get checked. They did an internal exam and I had a piece of pregnancy tissue stuck at the entrance to my cervix and my body was still trying to flush it out. I had it removed and was given antibiotics in case it had cause infection. Call EPU this morning please and get checked x
@Julia i will give it another day or two and ring them and see what they say. i haven’t actually taken a test I asked if I was supposed to take one and she said because my uterus was empty there was no need to do anything like that but I’ll order some hopefully I’ll need them soon anyway x
@Sophie okay I’ll ring them today, how long had you been bleeding ?x
I’ve always been told to take a test even if the scan showed an empty sac as the pregnancy tissue could be left over in the cervix like others have said and this is where the scanning probe can’t show anything x
I have them a ring and I’ve to go for another scan tomorrow thanks girls. Typically I’ve now not bled much today so maybe it’s stopping 🥴😂
I had been bleeding for 3 weeks + 1 day at that point x
That’s a long time! My losses haven’t bled more than two weeks. That sounds like your body might be having a hard time getting all the tissue out. Id call your OB and see if they can do an ultrasound to see if there is still retained tissue. They may prescribe you pills to help. I’ve done this even just with the short bleeds that I’ve had after losses.
